Miriam Anzovin is a phenomenon!

As the creator of the “Daf Reactions” and “Jewish Lore Reactions” on social media, her work “at the intersection of Sefaria and Sephora” is impacting thousands of followers each week and has earned her recognition and admiration from Jewish students worldwide.

With her online video series, she shares her authentic reactions to Jewish texts, with commentary both heartfelt and comedic, putting ancient discourse in direct communication with modern internet culture. Miriam’s work invites others to connect with Jewish teachings in ways that resonate personally with them.

In this special program, Miriam will share how her life experiences as a formerly Orthodox woman led her to deep emotional engagement with Jewish text study. She will discuss her spiritual journey, Daf Yomi (the daily-page-of-Talmud study), the genesis of her #DafReactions social media videos, and being a “Talmud influencer” in the public eye.

Join us for a lively Jewish Lore workshop with Miriam Anzovin, the digital creator behind the beloved #JewishLoreReactions series on TikTok and Instagram. With humor, curiosity, and deep textual insight, Anzovin brings ancient Jewish stories into conversation with modern life. This session spotlights one of the most fascinating figures in Jewish tradition: Serach bat Asher.

Often described in midrash as immortal, wise, and ever-present, Serach bat Asher is a keeper of collective memory and a witness to Jewish history from the Exodus onward. In this workshop, Anzovin explores the rich web of legends surrounding Search including her role in revealing Joseph’s fate, her connection to music and storytelling, and her enduring presence across generations.
